Is LangLandia free?
The game is free to download and play. All thirteen languages, PvP battles, clans, beast collecting and the core vocabulary training cost nothing. A Fluency Pass subscription unlocks the more advanced features on top of that — including AI conversation with your beasts — and adds bonus rewards. You can learn seriously without it, but the pass is where the deeper tools live.
What does the Fluency Pass unlock?
Fluency Pass is the optional subscription that opens up the advanced side of the app — AI conversation with your beasts, higher daily limits, and bonus rewards and events. The core game, all thirteen languages and the vocabulary training stay free whether or not you subscribe.
Does this actually work, or is it just a game?
The game layer is the delivery mechanism, not the content. Underneath it there are 310,000 words and phrases across all languages with native audio, spaced repetition, grammar reference, reading material and speech scoring. The competition exists because the hardest part of language learning is showing up daily, and a ranked ladder solves that better than a streak badge.
What level do I need to be?
Complete beginner is fine. You start with the most common words and phrases and matchmaking pairs you with players near your level, so early battles are winnable. Advanced learners can jump ahead using the exams.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad via the App Store, and Android phones and tablets via Google Play. Your account syncs across devices, so you can start on a phone and continue on a tablet.
Can I learn more than one language?
Yes. You can switch target language at any time and each one keeps its own progress, while your account, beasts and clan carry across.
How much time does it take?
A battle takes a couple of minutes, so ten minutes a day is a real session. Speech mode also lets you practise hands-free while commuting, which is where a lot of players get their volume in.
