No. The a and i sounds run together, but they do not produce the same sound as the English word eye. It’s similar, but not the same. The Spanish r is NOT pronounced like the English r. It’s similar to the English d, but softer. And the Spanish e does NOT make an “ay” sound. It’s “eh”.
