Eligibility and Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you are 13 or older. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. We will close any account we discover belongs to a person under 13. If you enrol students in a LangLandia class, you are responsible for confirming that each student is at least 13 and that you hold any permission your school or local law requires.

Subscriptions, Auto-Renewal and Cancellation

The Fluency Pass and any other subscription offered through the Service are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions and are billed through the app store you purchased from.

• Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the then-current price for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• You manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple or Google account settings, not in LangLandia. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
• We may change subscription prices. Price changes take effect at the next renewal after we notify you, and you may cancel before then.

Refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, and we generally cannot issue them directly. Virtual items, in-game currency, and rewards have no monetary value outside the Service, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be modified or discontinued as described elsewhere in these Terms.

Apple App Store and Google Play Terms

The following applies where you obtained the Service from the Apple App Store, and is required by Apple:

• These Terms are between you and Language Unlimited LLC only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content.
• Your licence to use the Service on an Apple device is limited to a non-transferable licence to use it on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service.
• If the Service fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the Service.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the Service, including product liability claims, any claim that the Service fails to conform to a legal requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
• Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging any third-party claim that the Service infringes intellectual property rights.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you.

Where you obtained the Service from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service, and Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the Service.

AI-Powered Features

Parts of the Service use artificial intelligence to generate conversation practice, stories, hints, corrections, and spoken audio. When you use these features, your input is sent to an external AI provider to generate a response, as described in our Privacy Policy.

AI-generated content can be inaccurate. Translations, grammar explanations, corrections, and factual statements produced by these features may be wrong, incomplete, or inappropriate for your context, and should not be relied on as professional, educational, legal, medical, or financial advice. You are responsible for how you use AI-generated output. We may limit, change, or withdraw AI features at any time, and we may impose usage limits to keep them available to everyone.

You must not use AI features to generate unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or deliberately misleading content, or to attempt to extract the underlying prompts or models.

Classroom Use

If you create a class, you are responsible for the class join password and for who you share it with, for confirming that every student you enrol is at least 13, and for obtaining any permission your school, district, or local law requires before asking students to create accounts. A class organiser can see the in-game progress of accounts in their class. Do not use class names or in-game content to record sensitive personal information about students.

YouTube API Services

Language Unlimited LLC operates an internal production tool that uses YouTube API Services to publish videos we have produced to our own YouTube channel. By using our services that rely on YouTube API Services, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke this application's access to your Google account at any time at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. No LangLandia player data is sent to YouTube. Further detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the app, or by emailing langlandiagame@gmail.com. Deletion is described in full in our Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription billed by Apple or Google — you must cancel that separately in your app store account settings.
